Figgy Garden

Figgy Garden – the forget-me-nots provide a beautiful carpet of blue in spring

Named after the enormous fig tree which dominates this area at the top, this garden has a mixture of woodland planting (shade-loving plants) and sun-loving plants. Some new flower beds were created just last year, bringing coherence to this area.

At the lower end of the sloping terrain, we have planted a hedge of Guelder roses and are trying a wildflower meadow too. In front of the garden there is a long narrow flower bed planted up with more perennials.
