We have commissioned muralists, Harriet and Sunnie from Studio A/Ninety-Five Prints, to create a mural for us on Queen’s Promenade, after seeing their jolly design ‘Living the good life’ in Victoria Park, Surbiton. We wanted a mural to create an entrance to the Prom and to brighten up the Surbiton end.
The wall of the London River Yacht Club is often graffitied. We’ve just started sprucing up the newly created Woodland Garden and felt that we needed to create a proper entrance and welcome to the Prom when you enter from Surbiton, opposite Grove Road and near the Westfield Landing.
We love the final design – a nod to the Art Deco design of Surbiton station and those 1950s Riviera posters. We will reveal the design as teasers on social media and further blog posts – we want it to be a surprise!
